The Desert Trak's width and "mini-paddles" provide for better flotation and bite than hard pack tires in sand while still being able to run on hard pack thanks to its center ridges and 4 ply design.

This tire is ideal for lightweight cars with low to medium horsepower. The tire is also commonly used as a front tire for 4x4 trucks and Jeeps for the sand for better front tire flotation and bite.
